The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Modern Slavery Partnership has launched its strategy to tackle Slavery in Hampshire, IOW, Portsmouth and Southampton:
This sets out how it will pursue perpetrators and support victims of slavery and trafficking in its new strategy, launched as figures reveal an increase in potential victims being identified and amid COVID-19 related concerns.
It can be challenging to identify a potential victim of modern slavery and potential victims may be reluctant or unable to come forward themselves. That is why it is important for frontline staff to look out for signs of modern slavery.
