Hampshire safeguarding Adults Board (HSAB) is seeking to engage an Independent Scrutineer to provide effective and objective scrutiny and challenge to the HSAB and act as constructive critical friend to ensure the Board fulfils its our core statutory responsibilities as set out in the Care Act 2014.
We are looking for an individual who is strategic and clear thinking, able to negotiate, support and challenge partners and to constructively hold each other to account to deliver high-quality, outcome focused safeguarding services. We would like to hear from you if you have experience of adult safeguarding work in a multi-agency context and at the senior operational and strategic levels. You will also have a thorough understanding of the Care Act (2014) statutory safeguarding framework and experience of a range of value-based approaches integral to adult safeguarding.
You will need to have a sound knowledge and understanding of local and national safeguarding agendas and of recent developments in adult social care and health, as well as in associated legislation. You will also need a good understanding and experience of performance management with an ability to use a range of sources when judging the effectiveness of local safeguarding arrangements. You will contribute towards identifying ways to improve local arrangements and act as a constructive and critical friend to the HSAB and our multi-agency partners.
